Why do I like dangerous sports and activities?

Published by admin under Psychology

Mr James asked:

I’ve always been a mild “adrenalin junkie”

I don’t have a death wish, but I’ve always been attracted towards dangerous sports like downhill skiing and mountain biking.

I’m 51 years old and recently had a serious skiing accident which will prevent me from skiing or mountain biking.

I’m physically fit, but cannot afford another head trauma.

I’ve been hurt numerous times and for some reason I feel better for it after the fact. Kind of feel like I defeated death one more time!

Is this abnormal for a 51 year old man?
