Livie livie asked:
So I really need all the help I can get…if you could please be thorough with the responses to this question; I would greatly appreciate it.
So, hello my name is Olivia. I turned 18 years old on October 21st, 2008.
Prior to this I’d like to thank you and apologize for how lengthy this may be or seem. It’s just very important to me.
I believe there’s a point in every person’s life where they have to accept responsibility for their own choices, decisions, and mistakes.
Since I was about 13 until pretty recently I’ve gotten into a great deal of legal trouble as well as drug addictions; my first charges were domestic violence, then it escalated to credit card fraud, and most recently check fraud, forgery, grand theft, VOP and a few more that I cannot recall off-hand.
The most recent charges I mentioned were last year, around Feb. 2008 before I turned 18 (10/21/08), and when I went to court I was “declared delinquent”; anyways I was sentenced/declared to do approximately 9 months in a Level 6 juvenile (DJJ) program in addition to about 2 months (unfortunately not “time served”) in the juvenile detention center, as well as being ordered to pay back all my restitution (which is now approximately $8,000.00, b/c while I was in my program I earned about $700.00 that was put toward my debt).
I had/have been to multiple other programs prior to my sentencing, but my most recent program is the only one that has helped me tremendously.
I know it’s hard to believe but I found a higher power and I am a changed person, I’m ready to start my life as a responsible adult.
I’m ready for a new chance.
SO on that note, while I was in my juvenile program I was offered a full two-year scholarship to a local community college in my area. However, due to the fact that the women didn’t know of my situation aka debt yet; she regrettably revoked my scholarship upon the news of my restitution.
So, when I graduated my program I was sure that I wasn’t going to have money to go to college and now here I was just turned 18 in more debt then some 30 year olds are.
My grandfather/guardian/protector has always been there for me no matter what the circumstances were. I am now living with him, and I am actively job searching but with the economy the way it is; it’s damn near impossible to find a job.
My grandfather at first refused to pay for my schooling, after a while he decided that he would instead pay for me to go to the local community college, and that he’d continue to pay for me to go to school as long as I maintained a 2.5 GPA and if he could claim me on his taxes (which is a pretty sweet deal).
I was/am looking forward to becoming a nurse, and we have already begun to enter me into the college so that I can complete my prerequisites and after can apply for the nursing program.
I already know how hard it will be to become a nurse being my background, but I will do whatever it takes and I will wait however long I have to until my record is cleared.
The issue is that I came to my grandfather with another deal in replace of the previous one. My deal was that instead of him paying for me to go to college, he could use the same amount of money and pay off my restitution; I would still have maybe $1,000.00 left to pay, but I could probably save that up pretty easily once I find/get a job. And I could use the scholarship I was offered instead, that way I’m killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
The women who offered the scholarship said that if I paid off my restitution the scholarship would be there waiting on me.
So he said he’d defiantly think about it but there would be conditions, and he said he wanted me to think about it as well and report back to him then he would make the final decision upon my presentation.
He wanted me to tell him:
1. How it would benefit me and most importantly how would it benefit him?
3. What could I do for him since he is loaning/paying off my debt?
4. Would I be giving him any payment or something in replace of him paying off the debt?
5. How/What could I do to prove to him that by him paying this off he’s helping me not hindering me?
6. How/What could I do to show him that I’m serious about my schooling and about getting my life straight, so that he knows if he pays this off I won’t just mess up again (being that if he paid it off I would no longer be on probation)
7. He said he felt that I should have to suffer the consequences of my actions, and how would this help me to learn from my mistake?
8. He said that if he paid of my restitution that he’d be paying a large sum of money, unlike if he paid for my schooling where he’d be paying little bits at a time; so if he decided to pay off the restitution, how could I help to ease his worry about deciding to pay of my debt and what could I do to repay him (it doesn’t have to be money)
He wants me to develop a plan on the information above. He said he thinks he knows of a good plan, but he want’s to see if I can figure it out…so please help me

Howler-Howling for the White Ou asked: http://www.azcentral.com/sports/coyotes/articles/2008/06/04/20080604coyotes0605.html
The Coyotes lost $30 million 2 seasons ago and have improved by 20%.
Factors include:
Rise in corporate sales, advertising
Cutting expenses
Not operating the Arizona Sting Lacross team.
Coyotes have a 30 year lease with the City of Glendale Arizona and if they move (which they won’t in my opinion) the Coyotes would have to pay a penalty of over $750 million dollars to the city.
I am mentioning this since after game 6 of the cup finals KPHX 12 News said the Coyotes lost well over 50 million dollars this past season and the owners were considering moving the team.
This article says differently!!
1. What are your thoughts?
2. What are the penalty’s any of the other teams must pay to a city if they relocate?
Mr. O Winnipeg was avg. under 14,000 a few seasons before they moved and the Coyotes have avg over 14,000 most seasons since the move.

NIPS; Indeed the Yotes will be better and will be a battle to just get into the playoffs, unless if the Coyotes can improve of the great season they had last year against the Pacific Division teams. They they would have a great shot at the division.
Note: I hope Blake Wheeler not signing with the Yotes doesn’t have any kind of negative impact for this team.
But yes, the Yotes have so much to look foward too and we could also pick up a star or 2 either in the offseason of during the season. Season tickets sales should go up( I’ll be one of them soon).
Note: With the Suns falling apart the bandwagon I think Will jump on this year!! More so if the D-backs continue to choke!!

I’m considering different options for places to stay in Beijing during the Olympic games. One of such options is a homestay. I’m looking for others who have stayed in a homestay, Beijing or not. Would like to hear about your experience and get advice. Thanks!
