Do you get mad when people assume you are a bandwagoner?

Why is it that when a sports team you like wins everone else calls you a bandwagoner? Like the Celtics had no fans until they got to the finals?? Boston is known far and wide for having some of the best fans ever and they should be able to celebrate. Does it bother u when people assume you only like them cuz they just stomped a$$ all over the place??
Yes I def know there are plenty of bandwagoners out there for sure. I also know all my friends who are Celtics fans and were proudly wearing their Celtics hats and jerseys and what not even last year just like they have for as long as they have been watching basketball and people **** on them all the time for being bandwagoners. Just an observation, not really whining here

As a Trail Blazers fan, no. My husband is a HUGE Laker fan…he’s depressed now. =(
Some fans are only fans when it’s convenient. Hell, I was a Laker fan out the womb. I have the Kobe Bryant Courtside Game for the N64 and still play it lol.
no it gets me mad when all these bandwagoners who **** kobe or just **** the lakers come on here and sit there and go nah nah nah u guys **** thats whats makes me mad not the true blue fans who followed their team when they only won 24 games, not hating here so dont assume i am.
I dunno, I’m kind of bandwagon…but I live in Boston and my neighbors are shooting off fireworks right now and plenty of lifelong fans I work with are gonna be happy tomorrow!

Although there are a lot of true Celtic fans there are a lot of people who jumped on the bandwagon this season because they are doing well. I have seen this first hand with extended family as well as people at school. Its like suddenly wherever you look you see a Celtics shirt or hat, when it never used to be like that.
if my team doesn’t make it to the finals, i pick a team to cheer on because it makes it funner to watch. i’m not going to go run out tomorrow and tattoo the celtics across my forehead and proclaim my love for them, but it was funner to have a team to watch since my team didn’t make it.
