Do you think this years olympics are making relations between China and the US worse?

It seems with the american players doing the the slanted eye thing, and more recently, the united states’ accusations of underage competitors, is doing nothing but make the relationship worse. Opinions?, thoughts?

    but i can’t see how the olympics is improving relations beetween china and the us.

    i think it is cause just exactly what you said the united states’ accusations of underage competitors and it plays the race card and saying that all chinese people are small

    No this is only a sports competition. This has to do with the policies of the United States and China.

    and, US has been accusing China on alot of things since 1949.

    olympic isn’t that big a deal if u look at what CNN did at reporting the tibetan riot.

    I don’t think the Chinese really mind all these little things and I don’t think it will affect the mutual relationship in higher level in any way.

    However, i can see very obviously that Chinese understands a lot better about the West than the west is willing to know about Chinese. I don’t think the way American’ overall attitude is right, even if all the girl gymnastic are all disqualified, it still doesn’t change the fact that China beats USA on the gold medal tally, and they should have a good hard look themselves, otherwise very soon Jamaica will take over USA on track and field and Australia will take over USA in swimming (after Michael Phelps retired)

    Get your info. right,
    the US didn’t do the slanted eye thing
    it was SPAIN.

    and China has underage competitors..
    it already was proven,
    and if it wasn’t
    WERE NOT BLIND.
    People should stop blaming the US for everything
    and spreading misinformation.
    If China doesn’t want people to accuse them,
    then they should start playing clean.
