How can I convince my Dad to let me do sports?
Heidi asked:
I really want to do sports! But my Dad thinks I wont pay attention in school, my grades will lower, and I’ll always be tired. But I know that I will not let my grades lower, and I’m like never ever tired. I could get one hour of sleep and be jumping around and screaming! And sports will keep me in better shape! But, he wont really listen. What should I say?

tell him to let you play this season and if your grades suffer then you won’t play next season
Remind him again of the health benefits of sports, of how you heard that exercising could actually help you focus more. Ask him for a chance for one semester to prove yourself.
Tell him that you have organised yourself in such a way that you’re not going to let sports take up precious study time and that you have indeed thought seriously about this. Ask him to give you a trail time to prove yourself.
Good luck!
Write a persuasive letter to him telling him why you should do sports. You really want to convince him that this is something you want! If your grades lower then I guess you have to tell your dad the truth. I think you will have to quit until your grades are good again. Try to keep your grades up and when he thinks it is time for you to shine again he will probably reward you with getting to play sports!
Good Luck!
