The Wallflower asked:
What I mean is I want to support Tibet and protest the olympics, so how should I go about doing it?

Don’t watch it. Horrible ratings will do the trick. I feel bad for the athletes though that were put in this situation. The IOC should be tried at the Hague.
get over it. the Olympics have been going on for a long long long time and they will continue to go on. here’s an idea- don’t watch them!
The Olympics are the wrong venue for protest. They are about shedding political boundaries and convening as a planetary community… If only for a short while.
Take you support of Tibet.. a cause which I agree with… and find other channels to air it.
My wife was on the US Olympic team in 1980 when our government chose to boycott the Moscow Games… There were no winners, the US looked ridiculous, and the athletes paid the highest price for that decision.

I **** to say it, but i think Tibet is forgotten about now. No-one talks about it anymore, it’s not on the news and completely forgotten about. It’s kind of like, Burma, remember that hole episode? or the Dafur stuff, or the Zimbabwe stuff. These are just stories that grab the world’s attention for a couple of days maybe a couple of weeks, but then everyone forgets about it. I think the same will happen again or already has happened with Tibet. It’s old news now.
P.S. I fully support Tibet, i was just trying to acknoweledge the reality of the situation in my answer, which is that it’s forgotten about now.
