How to take the best pictures of these sports with the D40?

Tomorrow I will be taking pictures of high school wrestling indoors in a gym and soccer on an outdoor field. I have the Nikon D40 with18-55mm and 55-200mm lenses and I was wondering what settings I should use to take the best pictures for both sports.

    No settings.

    Just practice and study stuff.

55-200mm lens, widest aperture (use A mode), keep the shutter above 1/75th (at 55mm) - 1/300th (at 200mm). Normal people want faster shutter speeds. Creative people might use a slower shutter speed to blur the action/show motion.

Anyways, the only thing you should adjust is the ISO (start at 800). Adjust it only to change the shutter speed.

And then when you get back from shooting, learn about exposure.
