I need help deciding what accoustic electric guitar to buy under $1000 Martin or Taylor?
I’m buying my fiance an accoustic electric 6 string as a wedding gift and have narrowed it down, now I need help making final decision… Before everyone yells at me and says he needs to pick it out I want ya to know we went to a few places and I snuck around and took notes of what he liked and have tried to do my homework
He was most drawn to the Martins and seemed to be impressed with a few Taylors. My question is which is the best to buy outta these 4…
Martin DCX1E Acoustic-Electric Guitar
Martin DCX1KE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar
or
Taylor 210e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar
Taylor 214e Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I need to keep it under $1000, caus i dont think i can save up more than that. Sorry im absolutely clueless! if it helps hes playing an Ibanez now that says artwood inside dont know anything more about it. hes says its hard to play?? He mostly plays classic rock accoustic

I have A blue metallic electric guitar ( fender)
You dont need to spend a ton on an aucostic electric, New York Pro, Ovation, and Ibanez are good.
Go for the Martin DCX1E it’s definitely the coolest choice, he’ll surely love it and rock on it for years
You have picked the very best of the best and I am sure he would be absolutely ecstatic about any of them! the martin is the best bet in terms of retaining value and appreciating in price but I would advise the first one not the cut away and with a standard finish, no colors (black usually) as these retain their value much longer than non standard models. The ultimate martin is the D18 wich is considered to be their best guitar ever. Look around and check with dealers and ebay to try and find one. But if you do, don’t be offended when he spends his honeymoon playing it more than you!! LOL!
