1.Chauncey Billups-A champion, finals mvp, and allstar.

2.Ben Wallace-4 time defensive player of the year, 2 NBA records, and twice nominated for mvp+he has a ring.

3.Paul Pierce-1 Scoring title, 13 franchise records, 6 time allstar,6th alltime in franchise scoring, 1 NBA record, and will likely break over 20,000 carrer points. Not to mention he is on one of the most loved and prestige franchises in all of sports.

4.Yao Ming-Good Carrer nothing special, however he has brought huge impact with him from china.

5.Dirk Nowitzki-1 time MVP, multiple allstar apperances, redifined style of play for 7 footer.

    Love the question
    1. Billups- IN because he led a fading piston franchise to 6 straight years of dominace in the east.
    2. Wallace- Out because he ruined his career with the Cavs and the Bulls
    3. Pierce- IN and Out because he need a championship if he wins hes in.
4.Yao Ming- Too young to tell- has a lot more years left.
    5. Dirk- IN- Won Mvp and led his team to the playoffs many times.

out- not enough accomplished (if they win another championship or 2 yes)

out- did not play long enough at his peak (he only had about 4-5 good years)

out- No rings, not enough special accomplishments

in- because of what he brought to america, not necessarily what he did on the court (if he was healthy this may not even be a question)

???- (I think still way too early to say)

    I love this question.

    1. Chauncey Billups = 3-time All-Star, named to 2 All-NBA teams (one 2nd, one 3rd), NBA Finals MVP. He did not become a star until he joined the Pistons, which will hurt his case in the minds of the voters. He’s only 31 so he has a good chance to make a few more all-star teams. If the Pistons win the championship this year, then he is definitely in the HOF. IN

    2. Ben Wallace = He’s gone downhill as a player since 2006, and he probably won’t add anything more to his resume. He has the worst shooting touch of an NBA star that I’ve ever seen. His career free-throw shooting is 41.8%. By comparison, Shaq’s free-throw shooting is 52.4%. I personally think he belongs in the Hall because his defense and rebounding were so exceptional, and he played a huge role for those great Detroit teams, but the voters will not elect a player who averaged 6.5 points over his career. OUT

    3. Paul Pierce = He’s been named to 6 of the past 7 All-Star teams and 3 All-NBA 3rd teams. He has never finished in the top 10 in MVP voting, which isn’t a good sign, but voters will remember his 41-point performance againt LeBron in Game 7. IN

    4. Yao Ming = Over the past three seasons he has averaged 23.0 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.9 blocks on 51.4% shooting, 85.5% on free-throws. Yao has also missed 86 games over the past three seasons; his career could become derailed by injuries like Ralph Sampson and Brad Daugherty. He is a 6-time All-Star and has been named to 4 All-NBA teams (one 2nd, three 3rds). If he can have a few more seasons where he plays over 70 games, then he will make it. IN

    5. Dirk Nowitzki = This guy is borderline? No MVP has ever been kept out of the Hall, and I don’t see why it should be any different for this 7-time All-Star. IN
