Is it wise to auction off my valuable olympic posters during the olympics?
Flora D asked:
From the viewpoint of a collector would they be more likely to purchase (and pay more for) my large original lithograph poster from ‘68 during the 40th anniversary of the games?? Or could the market for Olympic goods be saturated at that point? I would assume someone who would be willing to pay 1200-1500 for an original poster would be looking for goods often or would they be holding out for an event like the games….any Olympic collectors out there willing to share their opinions on this ??? thank you

Dear Friend,
I suggest you to Buy posters online at

My personal opinion would be to sell a poster that connects with 2008 (for instance anything connected to Seoul 1988, Tokyo 1968 or London 1948) as a test. If it sells more than you were expecting, then raise your prices by 10% and offer them for sale during the actual Games.
