Planning on getting an XBOX 360?

I’m trading in my PS2, plus 4 games (Battlefront 2, Final Fantasy XII, Iron Man, and Guitar Hero 2), along with my Nintendo DS and SP systems (with the games: Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon Ruby, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green, and New Super Mario Bros.) All together these games will fetch me 225 at my local game stop, plus the 100 I have in cash, so a grand total of $325. What games should I get, and should I get a refurbished or New XBOX? What all comes with the XBOX 360 (controllers, memory cards, etc.)? I know I want the white one with less memory because it’s cheaper. I can always buy memory cards. Is this worth it?

I would rather recommend getting a PS3, but hey its your choice.
If you have to get a Xbox 360 definitely go for new. While Xboxes work great when they are working, they really have trouble getting back to full capacity after damage or being broken. It is almost guaranteed a used Xbox360 has had some type of problem like this if it is being sold used.

Go for cheap games! There are a lot of sequels coming out this holiday season so go for the originals at ridiculously low prices! Also, don’t be afraid to buy a regular Xbox game if the game is good. Some great cheap games: Halo, Halo 2, Gears of War, Skate, Lost Odyssey, Call of Duty 3, Madden 08 (people will be begging to get rid of this on craigslist!), Orange Box, and Eternal Sonata. Do your own research on which of these games sound to best fit you. (Used games are even cheaper!)

As far as memory cards go, I would buy only one or none if it comes with the system. Memory cards these days can hold a lot! You most likely will not ever need a second one.

Definitely have at least two controllers. Good for having a friend over to play and in case you forget to charge one up.

I wish you luck with your purchase and your selling (might be hard to get rid of Game boy SP) and if you have any more questions feel free to hit up my profile and email.

I’d go for the Premium (the one with the built in memory), buying cards can be a pain!

    Games for you:
    Bioshock
    Forza: Motorsports 2
    Halo 3
    Call of Duty 4
    Gears of War 2
    Fifa 08
    TomClancys Rainbox Six: Vegas 2
    Grand Theft Auto 4

Ooh and i’d also recommend you getting a PS3, its way better then the Xbox in my opinion and I have both =|.

    Ooh! And ALWAYS buy new!
