Heat Eliminate Celtics, Thunder Take 3-2 Lead Over Memphis Grizzlies

Published by admin under Basketball

It took four tries, a couple of moves, and some waiting for some players to age, but LeBron James and crew finally overcame the Celtics in a playoffs series at the internet sports book.

With all 3 of the 2000s championship dynasties now out of the 2011 NBA Playoffs, it now becomes a lot more tricky to anticipate which team has the greatest prospects for winning the championship. The reality that the Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder are still battling out west boosts the speculation.

James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh all coalesced around the Miami Heat for one purpose: beating the Celts in the playoffs and having a chance at an NBA Championship. And in five games, Boston was removed. The Miami Heat took care of the final match last evening with a 97-87 win in Miami, in spite of trailing for much of the competition. But the Celtics’ injuries and age finally caught up with them and the Big Three from Boston were passed down the stretch by the Big 3 from Miami in basketball wagering.

Would the Celtics have been able to win a handful of more games or even the whole series if they were well? Who appreciates about the eventual result, but it was apparent last night that Rajon Rondo was entirely ineffectual for the C’s. Shaq was also out last evening with lingering soreness from his calf/ankle injury. But the Heat gambling garnered their win, too, with some clutch three-pointers from James, who obtained the team’s final 10 points of the match.

Out in the Western Conference, the Thunder and Grizzlies were back at it following a day off following the triple-overtime game on Monday night. The Grizzlies looked fatigued the whole match following the first few minutes, and Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder took advantage. By the end of the first half, OKC was up by 11, and concluded the competition 99-72 over Memphis, who missed one shot following another all evening.

The Memphis Grizzlies are still a difficult team and have gone further this year than anyone would ever have expected. But that triple-overtime match seemed as though it took a toll on Memphis, which shot only 36% from the field last night. Even their free throws were off, as they went 14-of-23 for the night. The Thunder now lead the series 3-2, but anticipate the Memphis Grizzlies to battle back in Game Six and push the series to a decisive Game 7 in Oklahoma City.

Mavericks Surprise Thunder In Overtime, 112-105 To Take 3-1 Series Lead

Published by admin under Basketball

I was observing the Mavericks-Thunder game last night, and with about five minutes leftover in the 4th quarter and the Oklahoma City Thunder up by 15, I practically wrote it off as a blowout.

But I continued watching, and the Dallas Mavericks gambling  continued arriving, overcoming a double digit deficit in 4 minutes with a 17-2 run and tying the match to send it to ot. And then the veteran team held attacking, winning the game 112-105 and going up 3-1 over the much younger Oklahoma City.

Once James Harden fouled from the competition somewhat over half way through the fourth quarter, it was easy to sense a adjust in the Oklahoma City Thunder offense. After that, there was no identity for the young team, they stopped attacking the basket, and settled for weak long-range hop shots. And sadly, they didn’t connect on almost all of them. A couple of important turnover and a couple of missed free throws at the end of regulation sealed it for the Oklahoma City Thunder, who blew a 15-point lead that late in the competition in NBA gambling.

The Dallas Mavericks, though, were just brilliant late in the match, and Jason Kidd and Dirk Nowitzki took control. His three-point shots, out of the question jumpers over defenders, and clutch free throws produced Dallas back from the brink of a 2-2 series tie. When OKC may not get any shots to fall, Nowitzki was making some of the most challenging, most contested shots of the match.

OT was just a continuation of the last 4 minutes of regulation, and Dallas outplayed and played better than the Oklahoma City Thunder, starting with 2 free throws from Dirk 16 seconds into the period. At that point, it was all Mavs, holding the Oklahoma City Thunder to 4 points in ot and scoring 11 of their own to take the 112-105 shock victory at the sportsbook.

The Mavericks gave the Oklahoma City Thunder their first straight home losses in six months, and their first straight losses of the playoffs. Game 5 will be competed in Dallas, and the Oklahoma City Thunder will be looking to extend their year by only a couple of more days with a victory. But it is looking more likely every day that Nowitzki, Kidd, and the Mavs will have one more chance to win an NBA Championship.

The NBA prospects for Game Five show Dallas as the -6.5 faves. The sportsbook has the total set at 198.

NBA Playoffs Betting - Miami Waits For Chicago

Published by admin under Basketball

The Miami Heat are into the Eastern Conference Finals and they will likely be preferred in NBA playoffs gambling if they meet the Chicago Bulls as supposed.

The Heat wagering removed the Celtics in 5 matches to arrive at the Eastern Conference Finals for the 1st time since 2006. Make your NBA playoffs bet right now at the online sports book.

Miami’s Youth Is Victorious

The Heat proved versus the Celts that young talent will beat old expertise.  It also helps if the youthful skill contains 2 of the greatest players in the league in Dwyane Wade and LeBron James.  Wade ran circles around the Boston Celtics in the series and James closed it out in style.  The Heat outscored the Celts 16-0 down the stretch on Wednesday night to win by 10 points and secure the series.  Miami’s big three of Wade, James and Chris Bosh outscored the Boston huge three 23-2 at the conclusion of Game 5.  Miami’s trio scored the squad’s last 31 points in Game Four. The big 3 of Boston combined to shoot only 1 for 9 in the fourth quarter on Wednesday for a total of 2 points.  Boston’s old threesome was outscored 40-9 in the 4th quarter by Miami’s threesome in the last two games.

Eastern Conference Finals

Miami is likely to take on Chicago in the finals if the Chicago Bulls finish off the Hawks as expected.  If the Chicago Bulls win Game 6 then the Eastern Conference finals will start on Sunday in Chicago. If Chicago has to go 7 matches to win then the finals will not start until next week.  The Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat have split their last ten meetings even though Chicago won all 3 matchups this season.  The Bulls won two tight matches at home by scores of 99-96 and 93-89 and they withdre a some point win at Miami in March by a score of 87-86.  Two of those 3 competitions went under the total. Seven of the last ten contests in this series have gone below the total so bettors making their NBA playoffs wager can expect a low total for Game 1. In the not likely event that Atlanta upsets the Bulls and wins the last 2 matches of that series then the Heat would start the Eastern Conference finals at home and be seriously favored in NBA playoffs gambling.

Heat Eliminate Bulls With Fourth Quarter 18-3 Run

Published by admin under Basketball

You don’t have to like LeBron James, but it’s almost impossible to deny that he is among the best - if not the greatest - players in the NBA at the moment.

His clutch three-pointers and suffocating defense shown that last evening as the Miami Heat wagers  trailed practically the whole competition until putting on an 18-3 run over the Bulls to take the 83-80 win. The Heat now go on to confront the Mavs in the NBA Finals, a rematch of the 2006 finals where the Mavericks headed 2-0, then got swept in the next 4 competitions.

Both the Mavericks and the Heat played hard, youthful squads in their individual conference finals rounds, and both relied on their defense down the stretch and their capability to hit clutch shots and free throws. The younger Bulls and Thunder just didn’t have the poise to make competes, hit important shots late in competitions, and make really important free throws. In 2011, age and expertise trumped youth to set up one of the excellent NBA Finals rematches of all time in NBA Finals betting.

The Chicago Bulls competed especially well through 3 and a half quarters on Thursday night, but only did not have enough in the final minutes. The Heat were down 12 before both James and Dwyane Wade obtained 8 points each in the team’s 18-3 run. MVP Derrick Rose missed his final free throw of the match which might have made it a two-point competition, but that loss made is necessary to hit a three in the final seconds just to tie. And Rose might not get off a clear shot at the buzzer.

Again, the story of the competition for these two teams was weak shooting from Chicago all around, with the Bulls hitting just 35.8% from the field and going 7-of-22 from behind the arc. Their offense struggled almost all of the match and they had to depend on their defense to force turnovers. Thankfully for the Chicago Bulls, Miami had 17 turnovers. But the Bulls also had 28 fouls to the Heat’s 18, top to 33 free throws for Miami as opposed to Chicago’s 21 total.. The Bulls were outscored by 10 points just in free throws.

But just somewhat greater offense in each of their four losses to the Heat might handily have turned the even for Chicago. The Heat relied on sticking around until the 4th quarter of these games before tightening the defense to shut down Rose, knowing that the Chicago Bulls had no other option to get effortless points and make performs. Whilst a few Chicago Bulls competitors had a good competition here and there, their poor shooting the entire playoffs was an indication of where the team is weakest, and the Heat exploited that at the online sports book.

Its been 5 years. Has the King lived up to the hype?

Published by admin under Basketball

THETRUTH313 asked:

I’ll never forget 6-7 years ago when Lebron was a junior in high school. ESPN was hyping him like no other player before him. And thats including Lew Alcindor. His games were on ESPN2. He was on Sports Illustrated. And he was crowned The Next Big Thing.
His first game was against Sacramento on the road. It was basically billed like an NBA Finals game would be. Everyone that I knew were watching the game. And he delivered.
I feel with the incredible amount of pressure on hin that he has lived up to the hype. With all his accomplishments we forget that he is STILL JUST 23. Whether he leaves Cleveland or not, and whether he gets that sidekick he desperately needs, once he truly develops that mid-range jumper, he will really be scary. Your thoughts?
