The Necessity of Learning Music

Published by admin at 4:38 am under Timed Finals

Some people have this thinking that studying music is just for people who want to make a living out of it. What would an accounting major got to do with a few units in Music theory unless it’s required? Would a housewife even have any use at all for having knowledge with voice lessons? It’s not as if singing success has got to do with housetask or taking care of the family’s needs. What’s the use of learning music then?

First of all, the study of music results in deeper admiration of music itself. Skeptics may be in shock to know but the appreciation of music brings, not only many gains to one’s physical health but also it enhances a person’s mental health. It’s been shown by means of different studies that music appreciation cuts the risk of hypertension and stroke. Stress is delimited by music appreciation and this is the cause of many health problems we experience. Music appreciation enhances sleeping pattern, relieves muscle stress, and gives you mental and physical power. A key factor to keep yourself healthy, as some people have realized, is to have music in your life. Steve Krenz from learnandmasterguitar.com site is proof.

Other forms of intelligence could be greatly improved by means of the study of music secondly. Studies
show that college students who take up a few units of music are likely to stay in school longer than those who take up units that are purely related to their field of study. There has to be a relation between music and spatial intelligence which is  the ability tobuild mental pictures. Learning music has been said to help students organize their ideas more coherently. The language and reasoning part of the brain is said to be developed by learning music.

One’s horizons, thirdly, could be broadened by training for music. This means that studying music will help you be familiar with and appreciate other cultures through the very different language of music.

Another reason is that to study music will help develop your determination and passion for excellence. There is rarely a confusion between notes when dealing with music, its either you know the tune or not. Studying music requires the passion to learn as well as attention to details such as what style would be suitable for you and what won’t.
Thus, studying music can also be an avenue for self-discovery.

Lastly, music is a great medium for self-expression. One’s self-esteem can be built through learning a constuctive means for self-expression. Some painfully shy people can become quite confident by looking for a
means for positive self-expression they are good in. Aside from doing house work and merely taking their young ones to school, even
housewives can be productive. An individual can enjoy and benefit from the process at the same time as music is a good way to express yourself.

The training for music is nevercould not be too late or early. Its just a good thing to
commence studying music whether you want to learn how to play an instrument so you can impress friends by playing your fave song, or whether you want to make a career out of it. Give it a shot by looking for the type of music you want to study.
