I think you should allow cuts cause it’ll improve the performance of the team and it will actually be a challenge to play. If it’s no cut all the parents are gonna be complaining about why their child is n’t playing. That would be chaos. But it’s your decision.

It varies by sport at my school. I run track and it is non-cut. I really liked it when I was a freshman because the JV still worked out with the varsity girls. As a result we saw the more exerienced girls’ techniques, got advice from them, and were encouraged to work more at their level. Practicing with varsity athletes made the junior varsity athletes much stronger for us, but I don’t know about other sports.

I think the idea of cuts is great. At my school, our sports are very competitive and we make cuts at tryouts. As a result, all our sports teams are ranked high in the state. There have always been people who aren’t good enough to make a sports team, but there are usually leagues in every town, like rec leagues, so those people can still play. Students need to see that they can’t always be good at everything, and they won’t get picked for everything they tryout for in life.
I hope all goes well with your ideas! Good Luck!!!

No cut teams in high school now… what is this world coming to. You should have to make the team by trying out…. period.

I think it gives people a chance to work on their skills and not have to worry about not even making the team. iN highschool no cut teams probably wouldn’t work cuz theres so many people, plus they hade gradeschool to figure out how to play the sports. i come from a smallish catholic school so idk how it is for the public gradeschools. but i still think they should have a no cut policy on sports for the younger kids so that they can try and learn the sport and get better.
