Shooting.
A grandmother won a gold medal in shooting for Australia.
Curling, it’s a Winter Olympics sport that involves sliding a big rock across the ice and trying to knock your opponents rock out of position. You have teammates that help guide your rock along the ice by sweeping a path for it with a broom. It doesn’t look like a very physically demanding sport, but it does require a steady hand and good aim.
This may answer your question in another way:
Why there is NO uproar against the Australian 2000 Olympics, given the Aussie records on treating Native aboriginals are ruthless and genocidal ?
But there was a dead silence maintained by the US and UK media ?
And none of the European Leaders then talked about boycotting Aussies’ opening ceremony ?
