Who agrees with me ?

Published by admin at 7:19 pm under Dry Cough

MRRRRRRR KENNEDY asked:

as a man utd fan
i try and enjoy every single minute of our football
from pre season to the end of season finals to the transfers ect….
whether we win or lose determins what mood i am in for the week
but i still enjoy it

but in the back of my mind
i keep telling myself
watch every single match possible
go to every match i can
and if not watch it on tv or listen to it on radio
to watch the brilliant football we play]

because
the day i wake up and switch on sky sports news
and it says
ALEX FERGUSON HAS RETIRED
is the day i realise that we had a good run eh ? we did well, won lots of trophys, and had some amazing moments
but its all over now
and it can only go downhill from there

do you agree ?

Yes and no. Alex Ferguson is a big part of the success of United but not all of it. And if he retires and leaves United with a good squad they could hire another good manager and keep going. It depends.

For instance if SAF retires after the CL. United could bring in Mourinho and if there is one other person who could keep Ronaldo in Manchester it’s him. They already have a group of great players and with Carlos Queiroz and David Gill he would have 2 other great football minds working with him. So it really depends.

    good question mate.

Just enjoy it while you can.

I think the same way over Davey moyes, are the big investors going to wait for our ground move before they come in and give him a load of money to compete with the big three or will he already have gone somewhere else by then.

    Time is ticking away.

    Everton Forever.

I tell myself that Sir Alex hasn’t put all these years into building teams that will collapse when he goes. He is too smart for that. He is building a team for the future. One that can go on when he retires. He wont be gone from United and will always have a grip on whats happening in my opinion. Its going to be a huge adjustment for players and supporters. But if he has faith this team can go on , as the club will, who are we to disagree :)

i agree , but i think he will be there until he dies , if not as club manger , maybe on the board , like sir Matt busby did ( until he got treated like **** )

I was there when we got relegated.

It was a huge blow, but Tommy Docs’ team were fantastic in the 2nd division.

SAF has been a huge part of our success but there are others, so far unknown, to follow.

The important thing for our club is to try and play in the right way.

I’ve been at Wembley to see us win and lose finals. The winning means more because of the losing previously.

    Try to enjoy it all.

To answer your Q. No, I don’t agree.

Who would have thought that anyone could assemble a team to beat another owned by a man whose fortune increases by about 10 Million pounds a day?

I agree with you in theory, your sentiments towards your team through the good and the bad, during the season and out of season, me too, but with total respect to Sir Alex Ferguson, (even i can say he is a brilliant manager), my sentiments echo yours but towards Arsenal and Arsene Wenger. We can all look back and say what both Managers have done for our respective teams has been brilliant.

May BOTH our managers stay with us for many more seasons to come.

    Star for you Mr K!

    I am A Liverpool fan
(I know the thumbs down will automatically come)

But still whatever said and done i have to agree with you that SAF is a legend . Hope he retires soon cause then other teams will have more of a chance i feel!!

He is also slowly closing in in some of our records and we have to act fast

anyways good luck for champions league final

wtf ur a man and all this time i thought u were a cool chick

  15. John son 09 May 2008 at 4:42 pm

wow that would really be a blow to Man United having him retire but you should realize that they had had some good managers before him and you should hope they get someone as good because he is one manager i admire if not the most to be honest because he never lets Man United down they always have played well

he may not get another treble but he has made history

winning a treble, first all English Champions League finals so he has accomplished so much and his replacement would have some large shoes to fill he is truly the biggest name to ever pass through Man United

The appointment of Utds next manager is so important, the board have got to get it right. Forget about ex Utd players (except for Mark Hughes )just make sure that he is quality and the right man for the job or everything can spiral downhill. Take a look at Liverpool and what happened to them when they appointed an ex player and clown Souness as their manager, he ruined them and set them back five years and they have never recovered from the Souness years

Yes.I love watching every second of every match and I try my best to stay up or wake up to watch their match, regardless of what I have to do the following day.The outcome of the match decides my mood for the next couple of days.

The day I see the headline Alex Ferguson has retired. My heart will sink like the Titanic and I’d probably receive a mental blow to the guts. But what we can do is pick ourselves up and hope for the best.Carlos Queiroz commands as much respect as Sir Alex at United. We’ll still have the same batch of players. If Avram Grant can take Chelsea to the Champions League finals,we can win the Double with Queiroz.
