Why does everyone **** the spurs ?
they are best team in all of pro sports (win %) people say they are boring to watch and i think thats a load of BS they have won 4 out of the last 9 championships and they are 16-7 in the finals. they are only boring if you dont appreciate the defense and complicated offense the spurs bring every night,
thats why the games are always sold out!

my bad i forgot they SWEPT the cavs last year so they are 16-6 in the finals

We don’t **** them. there are just better teams to watch. The Spurs aren’t exciting like the Lakers, Suns, Celtics, etc. And right now, the Houston Rockets are on fire!
They may win a lot, but they are one of the most boring teams to watch. Their colors compliment their style too.

The way they make it boring is they don’t give their 11th and 12th players a chance to play, even the other team if blown out. always same guys on the court. they might be the best but they only make it fun for everyone. selfish
They are boring! that is why the ratings ****** with the finals last year because everyone knew spurs would win and watching Duncan throw up his weak bank shots, Parker running around like a little rat and that wog Ginoboli throwing up layups out of his *** - nobody wants to see that crap!

2 The ‘99 Championship should get an asterisk since it was a lock out and really short
3 I think Boston and the Rockets have better defense than the Spurs right now
4 The Spurs do not dominate like they used to for the last couple of years there are too many quality teams in the NBA and in the West as a whole.
5 The Spurs are one of the oldest (The Suns deliberately got older than you guys). Popavich did not try to get much help to replace guys like Horry and Bowen who can’t keep playing at the same level anymore. Outside of Udoka I don;t see much prospects for you guys. I probably would have kept Elson instead of getting Kurt Thomas also.
I respect the Spurs but they are going to do better to keep up at championship level than getting Damon Stoudimire

plus they are babies, and Ginobili falls whenever someone touches him
they are dirty too, you know last year when bowen need nash in the nards and dont say that was an accident and he also kicked his foot out at STATs foot to hurt him on his landing, and worst of all was Horry’s move because he is a sore loser and bumped nash (and after he took a shot a bell)
those are all reasons why
im sorry, but offense is more fun to watch than defense. just watch a warriors or suns game, then tell me how boring the slow spurs are
Easy answer. The Spurs don’t make it a point to be on ESPN highlight reel each night like other teams and players do like Kobe, Lebron, the Suns, etc. They play to put people in the seats and see themselves on tv while the Spurs play to win Championships. To play any other way is a waste of time, unless you’re just collecting paychecks. See many other players and teams
they are a good team….fundamentally. that’s the only reason why people still some to their games, because it’s almost guarenteed that they will win or keep it to a close loss. in other words, an easy team to bandwagon to.
that aside, nothing in their game constitutes of what people would generally think of as highlight material. it’s that simple, and that’s why most everyone hates them. their defense is not completely dominate like the jazz or pistons, and their offense isn’t potent and explosive like the lakers or suns. in other words, they are boring.
Hate? dead wrong. You can say most DOES NOT like the spurs brand of play.. That’s one reason I can think of.. The spurs just aren’t flashy enough for most people.. including me.
Not liking doesn’t equal hating.
I give credit to the Spurs since they play like an old-school team, where they play defense, and aren’t all about showboating. However, I am not a Spurs fan, I am a Knicks fan. Seeing them win their first Championship in 1999 against the Knicks in the Garden, was not a memorable moment for me. I don’t really **** the Spurs, but I just **** the fact that they won on the Garden floor. At the same time, it would be great if every team had the same old-school mentality as the Spurs, where they focused on defense, and finding the open man, instead of showing off, and doing highlight reel stuff. The NBA would be better off if every team played like the Spurs. That is why they won 4 Championships in 9 years. Defense wins Championships. I don’t know about the Spurs being the best team in sports. That would be the Yankees, but I like the way they play. Any NBA team can learn from the Spurs.
